In 1918 (AD: 1920), the first president, Koichi Iguchi, was founded in Kanda, Tokyo, and started manufacturing sketchbooks.
All of maruman's original papers are domestically produced and there are 13 types! The reason why we can make such original paper is because we have a strong commitment to paper, technology and tradition. maruman has a "Paper Meister" that checks the finish of the finished paper in a unique way. We use various types of writing tools and paints to check the writing comfort and the strength of the paper. It is because of these checks by human eyes and senses that the quality of maruman's paper continues to be maintained even as mechanization and mass production progress.
There are also products that ask loyal users for their opinions and make improvements, and actually make use of student feedback and questionnaire responses. There are also commercialized ideas that came up in the campaign.
