TERANISHI

A Heritage of Japanese Ink-making

Founded in 1916 and celebrating its 110th anniversary in 2026, Teranishi Chemical Industry has a century-long history of ink-making. From creating Japan's first permanent marker, "Magic Ink", in 1953 to modern handcrafted glass pens, every product is built on over 100 years of Japanese expertise and innovation.

Long-life Design and Eco-conscious Manufacturing

Sustainability is at our core. Many Magic Ink markers are refillable with replaceable nibs—a design philosophy honored by the Good Design Long Life Design Award. We actively use recycled plastics and comply with Japan’s Eco Mark standards. Furthermore, Magic Ink products are manufactured without substances restricted under the EU's RoHS and ELV directives.
